I will teach you about the fundamentals of what makes good photograph compositions.

Break All The Rules

I’ll help you learn how to apply your creativity to your photography and break all of those composition rules.

We will select 1-2 places where you can practice a variety of composition techniques, so that you feel comfortable using these skills on your own.

I will teach you about the main functions of a camera, such as aperture, ISO and shutter speed.

Learn how to use your camera’s manual settings

Gain confidence in using the manual settings on your camera and have it become second nature while in the field.

Learn about camera accessories

I will teach you about some of the most useful camera accessories, such as lenses and tripods.

We will then take your camera into the field. I’ll have you show me how you use the manual settings on your camera in varying conditions.

The Art and Business of Elopement Photography

If you are seeking in the field photography mentoring, I travel often and we can determine when I will be in your area or if we can meet up in a destination location.

I certainly can! I have been doing elopement photography as a business since 2020 and am happy to share my lessons learned and help you determine if it’s the right career path for you.

I have been doing astrophotography for several years now. I can teach you the basics of astrophotography. I’m also very skilled with using the PhotoPills App, which allows you to pre-plan your locations before attempting astrophotography in the field.

I am constantly improving my capabilities with respect to astrophotography. I attend multiple workshops every year.

I use Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop almost daily for processing of landscape and elopement images. There are many online tutorials that help you learn how to use these tools. However, I have found that it’s helped me immensely when someone with knowledge of these software tools sits with me to help me apply what I’ve seen in YouTube tutorials.
